I'm Salar Salahi, based in Vancouver. I draw people — live at weddings, corporate events and parties — and I've spent over a decade in film and episodic post-production, most recently at Eyeline Studios. I also direct and shoot my own pieces, and I draw constantly: life drawing, logo and tattoo design. It's one practice with a lot of surfaces.
Post-production and finishing work with Eyeline Studios, Spin, Guru, Mikros, Brown Bag, Rocket Science and Pixomondo — on House of the Dragon, Star Trek: Discovery, PAW Patrol, Blue's Clues & You and more. I also direct and shoot my own short work.
Live caricature at corporate and academic events, life-drawing sessions I organize and lead, logo identities, and tattoo design. Different surfaces, same eye for likeness, light and gesture.
Whether it's a frame on screen, a face at an easel, a logo, or a camera on a dance floor, the job is the same: find the shape of the thing, get the light right, and know when it's done. That's the whole story.
