Privacy Policy

Applies to salarsalahi.com, the portfolio site of Salar Salahi, senior compositing artist, Vancouver BC.

What this site collects

This is a portfolio site. There is no account system, no shop and no newsletter. The only personal information collected is what you choose to send when you contact me by email or LinkedIn — typically your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message.

Analytics

Aggregate visit statistics are measured with Google Analytics 4 so I can see which work people actually watch. That includes approximate location, device type, referring site and pages viewed. It is not used to identify you individually, and it is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Embedded video

Reels and project videos are embedded from YouTube. When a player loads, YouTube may set its own cookies and receive your IP address under Google's privacy policy. I have no access to that data beyond aggregate view counts.

How enquiries are used

Hiring enquiries are read and answered by me personally, kept in my email account, and used only to reply and to discuss the work. They are not added to any mailing list and not passed to third parties.

Client and studio work

Shots shown here are published under the credits of the studios and productions involved and remain their intellectual property. Anything under NDA is not shown. If a rights holder wants a shot removed, email me and it comes down.

Your choices

You can ask me at any time to delete the correspondence I hold about you, or to confirm what I have. Write to salahi.salar@gmail.com and I'll action it within 30 days. You can also block analytics and third-party cookies in your browser without affecting how this site works.
